1. Comments & Gravatars

• Account required: To leave a comment, you must be logged in. We use Jetpack’s Secure Sign On, so you can authenticate via WordPress.com or connected social accounts (e.g., Google, Facebook).
• Data collected: your username, email address (kept private), comment text, IP address, and browser user agent string.
• Purpose: to verify commenter identity, moderate discussions, and prevent spam.
• Avatars: We display profile pictures via Gravatar – Gravatar only sees a hashed version of your email. Learn more at https://automattic.com/privacy/.

2. Forms Everywhere (Tally.so)

• Our approach: All site forms (contact, feedback, etc.) are provided via Tally.so.
• Data collected: whatever fields we configure – typically your name, email, and message.
• Storage & processing: submissions are stored securely on Tally.so’s servers; we access them in our Tally dashboard.
• Why: to streamline communication without maintaining custom form infrastructure.
• Third-party: Tally.so may record your IP address, browser user agent, and use cookies. See their policy at https://tally.so/privacy.

3. Cookies & Sessions

• Comment cookies: if you opt to “Remember Me” when commenting, your session is persisted per Jetpack’s settings (up to two weeks).
• Login cookies: Jetpack manages authentication cookies – 2-day default session or 2-week “Remember Me.”

4. Plugins & Third-Party Tools

• Akismet Anti-spam: filters comments and form submissions to block spam. Privacy: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
• Jetpack (Automattic): secures logins, powers comments, performance (CDNs), galleries, Markdown support, infinite scroll, and more. It may log visit metrics and IPs for security. Privacy: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

• WP All Import: imports XML/CSV content on our server only – no external sharing.
• WP Headers & Footers: used solely for embedding the Google Fonts link.

5. Embedded Content & Polls

• General rule: embedded items (videos, tweets, polls) behave as if you visited the source site directly – they may set cookies or track interactions as per their policies.
• Future polls: Strawpoll embeds, if added later, will follow this same rule under Strawpoll’s privacy terms.

6. Data Retention

• Comments & metadata: retained indefinitely for moderation continuity.
• Tally.so submissions: stored on Tally.so until manually deleted.
• Analytics data: held by Google for up to 26 months.

7. Your Rights & Choices

• Correction & deletion: you may ask us to remove your comments or personal data, except where needed for spam prevention or security.
